Vancouver writer Tara Wohlberg’s work has appeared in numerous journals and newspapers in Canada and internationally. A classically trained musician, her voracious curiosity keeps her writing in all genres - from programme notes to obituaries.

Her lyrics are published by EC Schirmer, Boston and Oxford University Press. Her most recent collaboration with composer Stephen Chatman, ‘Love Songs’, a song cycle for baritone Tyler Duncan, received its US premiere at Merkin Hall in New York City.

A finalist in the City of Westminster (UK) Poetry Competition, her poetry has most recently been short-listed for the Malahat Review 2010 Open Season award, is forthcoming in the 2012 spring issue of CV2 and her chapbook Cold Surely Takes the Wood will be published by Alfred Gustav Press in spring 2013.

She currently divides her time, inefficiently, between a poetry manuscript, piano studio, opera libretto and a Siamese cat.
